eRespond to become available as a hosted Software as a Service solution.

CORK, IRELAND, (February 28th, 2009) – LET Systems, the industry leader in Network Operations Solutions for Outage Management (OMS), Network Modeling, Customer Contact and Mobile Workforce Management is pleased to announce its plans to make its flagship product eRespond available to utilities as a Software as a Service (“SaaS”) solution.

Recognising that many smaller utilities have similar needs and requirements for excellence and innovation as the larger utilities, LET has put a strategy in place to address this by way of SaaS. Smaller budgets prevent smaller utilities from accessing best of breed software solutions even though they strive for the same standards and have similar requirements to the big utilities. According to Marcus McCarthy, “By hosting eRespond on a remote location, we can make the full or partial functionality available to the smallest utilities who previously could not have availed of the software.”

This is not new territory for LET. As part of winning the E.ON contract in Slovakia, a key criteria was eRespond’s ability to be operated remotely from one data centre due to its next generation thin client architecture. This concept will be applied to a full rollout of SaaS in late 2009/2010.

The plan is to make eRespond available by way of monthly subscription rather than the normal large up from license cost. This should be more attractive to smaller utilities
